Eligibility

You must have applied for a postgraduate programme.
Eligible applicants should have a gross annual household income of under £40,000, and must articulate a need for support through a personal statement within the application form.
If you are applying for a postgraduate research programme, your programme start date must be one of the following: August 2026 September 2026 October 2026 January 2027 May 2027.

Funding structure

Minimum awards of £1,750 per annum are. entry: 2026 Prospective postgraduate students may apply for financial support to help cover the cost of university or private accommodation.
Further details of the accommodation provided by the University can be found on the accommodation website.
Awards will be applied to University accommodation fees in the first instance.
Students who move to privately owned accommodation, including properties let through the University, will receive the award as monthly maintenance payments.
